Important Guidelines for Parents :
1, Some students have been found to take other students’ articles
like stationery, pen, pencil, geometry boxes, books, copies etc.
Parents are to keep a strict watch over their child to see if She/
he ever brings home any article which is not his/her own in
which case the same is to be immediately returned to the
Principal's office. Parents are also requested to provide the
child with sufficient Stationery as may be needed so that she/he
need not resort to appropriating other's things.
2. The school has started sending SMS alerts regarding your
ward's absence from school, to ensure that there is a Proper
communication channel between the Parents and the school. |n
the event of mis-sending of message due to common names or
any inadvertent error, parents are requested to calmly clarify
the situation from the school office in any case of doubt. In any
unforeseen inadvertent Situation if a parent receives an
unintended or incorrect message from school regarding child's
absence from school when he/she is really in school, it is
requested to verify or cross check the fact from the Office before
getting upset or panicked. Messages for absence are sent after
taking attendance, anda child who comes after this stage of the
day will be marked absent and appropriate message wil
indicate absence for the day.
3. We request all Stakeholders to avoid Criticism of each other,
whether Parents/students/teachers/staff and the school
institution, because it will lead to disrespect which also spreads
to the children. Disrespect of the institution has the consequent
effect on Student's learning and development. Any legitimate
complaints will be immediately entertained and addressed for
which it is requested that any aggrieved person is to meet the
Principal/ Vice Principal, without fear of reprisal and disclose
their concerns.
4, The school’s e-care facility through School Canvas App
provides all students/ Parents a login id through which you can
access all information regarding the performance/attendance
of your ward. Any errors if noticed on the app, may be informed
by sending an application pointing out the same and it will be
rectified as per the school records.
5. Though the school takes all possible care of your child while in
school, the school cannot be held responsible for any self-
inflicted or accidental mishap or injury that may befall your child
whether physical or otherwise. After school hours, students are
not allowed to remain around the school campus without
special permission, and itis the parents' responsibility to ensure
they go back home and engage themselves in studies and
constructive activities. The School takes no responsibility for
students after school hours and it is the parents’ duty to assume
responsibility for the child from the moment he/she leaves the
school campus.
6. Parents must accept full responsibility for their son/ward's
conduct, behaviour and actions both inside and outside the
school. The School strives for a happy atmosphere conducive
to growth and development of the students, where the school,
its authorities and teachers are to work hand in hand with the
parents to ensure such a positive state of affairs. It is expected
that as the schoo! and the teachers work with the children
during school hours, parents are to work with their children after
school hours, and thereby ensure holistic and _ all-round
development for the child.
7. Any apprehension felt by parents or students with regard to any
| stakeholder's behaviour or conduct (including students
/staff/teachers/parents) must immediately be brought awd :
the attention of the Principal / Vice Principal so that the School
can assist in any way possible and avert any unnecessary
conflict and/or trauma being faced by any of the stakeholders
failing which the School will be deemed to have in no knowledge
of any situation of concern with regard to the student.
8. School campus is no smoking, N° tobacco and jalan area
on all days. It is also an environment friendly mene lease
do not bring disposable bottles, plastic wrappers an similar
plastic items to school.
9. Parents/Guardians who come to the school must act at all
times in a dignified manner. The school staff including
security/watch and ward/secretarial/non-teaching staff are to
be treated with politeness, and parents may seal themselves in
the lobby provided for this purpose, while waiting for availability
of the Principal/ teacher they wish to meet, and are not allowed
to move about the school premises while waiting.
10. Parents must check the diary daily for communications from
school. The School is not responsible for situations where
parents claim no knowledge of intimation entered into the diary.
11. The school does not own or organize transport facility. Parents
must see that those who operate transport respect the school
schedule, look after the physical safety of the students and do
not cause emotional and moral violation of the students.
Transport service providers are not being verified or
scrutinized by the School, and the School has no responsibility
for any transport related issues. No transport service provider
is endorsed or authorized by the School.
12. Parents who have grievances or wish to meet the school
authorities regarding concern over their child will always be
entertained with patience and gracious hearing. However, the
school authorities will not entertain groups of parents who wish
address issues raised in a confrontational manner
13. The school is under continuous surveillance in the interest of
safety and security of all stakeholders especi in
our care. However. the system is not infalliable and is subject to distrurbance due to electricity, weather and other sudden interferences. Any access to the CCTV system is solely
at the discretion of the principal. Under no circumstances wil
CCTV footage be released for private/public viewing or copies
made available to any person. The footage, access and
viewing is to be managed with strict emphasis on protection of
dignity and privacy of all staff & students in the school, and
reference to CCTV recordings (depending on its availability in
the system) is solely at the decision of the Principal & her
decision on all matters shall be final.
18. Parents who wish to volunteer their valuable time for services to
the School are always most welcome to do so. Parents who
excel in their individual fields and can inspire our students, give
time for providing their guidance through their fields of
expertise such as coaching in sports /dance/ music/ career
Counselling will be highly appreciated. Any parents interested in
giving some valuable time for such voluntary contributions to
the School may contact the Principal and give a brief write-up of
their intended volunteer service.
PARENT HANDBOOK
1. School Diary is the true record of a student's academic performance and conduct. It is to be signed by Principal/ Vice Principal/Asst. Principal or their delegates. It must be maintained with utmost care. Damaged/poorly cared diary is a sign of lack of diligence/interest on the part of a student in academic excellence and character formation.
2. Every student must have a copy of the School Calendar and it must be brought to school on every class-day. A student who does not have his diary may be sent back home. Losing a school calendar/poor care for diary is a serious fault. A fine of Rs. 200/-has to be paid to get a new calendar.
3. No remarks once written in the diary can be cancelled by anyone other than Principal/ Vice-Principal. Deliberately damaged or mutilated diaries shall be dealt with under disciplinary rules.
4. Every student must possess an identity card issued by the school. This card must be renewed periodically. Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. Each article should be marked with pupil's name.
5. Every child must wear the ID card to School every day. Any misuse, mutilation, damage, interpolation to the ID card will be viewed as a strict disciplinary offence, and failing to wear ID card will also be viewed strictly. Loss of ID card or habitual non wearing of the ID card will lead to communication to parents and should be replaced immediately.
6. Students are to address their teachers and all members of the School Staff with due respect and politeness. Arrogant and challenging behaviour towards teaching or non- teaching staff is strictly forbidden. On their way to and from school students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the high standards of our School. Any behaviour that may bring disrepute to the school must be avoided. A Student who indulges in inappropriate manner may be suspended or even dismissed.
7. Rude and argumentative behaviour or passing of rude/lewd/abusive/vulgar remarks against teachers, support staff will be strictly dealt with, and may lead to a weeklong suspension as the discretion of the Principal. In extreme situations, such student will be asked to take the transfer Certificate at the end of the year, and in the worst of cases, such behaviour will lead to immediate dismissal from the school.
8. Leaving the classroom after the teacher leaves the class and before the arrival of the next teacher, or at the change of the period, is strictly prohibited for all students. Any student detected out of class by any staff member shall be forwarded to the Principal for immediate action. Habitual avoiding classes during school hours will attract disciplinary action including asking the parents to withdraw the child from school.
9. St. Agnes school is a family and all members of the family should treat each other with respect & affection, whether they are staff, students, parents, or any of the School stakeholders. Bullying, discrimination, ragging, eve-teasing, or any sexually coloured remarks/ notes/instant messages/emails/group chats whether it happens physically or out of school or in the internet domain, is strictly forbidden and shall be treated very severely if reported to the School authorities and found to be correct.
10. Bringing of any prohibited/banned/illegal articles to school including electronics, banned substances, alcohol, cigarettes, weapons, dangerous articles, etc. is viewed very strictly and on detection may result in immediate suspension or in serious cases, issuance of T.C. and dismissal from the school.
11. Any student who requires to bring any prescribed medication is permitted to bring such medication after prior application by the parents supported by medical certificate and that child will be responsible for looking after medication and taking it as per doctor's advice.
12. No books/electronic media/magazines/reading material in any form, other than textbooks or library books may be brought to the school.
13. Pupils are forbidden to bring crackers, explosives and other related dangerous material or inflammable substances /lighters /matches/fire lighters to school. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against such offenders under rules for prohibited articles.
14. It is strictly forbidden to practice any illegal activities including smoking, use of drugs or intoxicants, rowdyism, rude/aggressive behaviour, discriminatory behaviour including casteism and communalism in school. Immorality, grave insubordination, contempt of authority or wilful damage to property is always a sufficient reason for immediate dismissal. Bullying and causing emotional distress to any student on school campus is a serious offence and strict disciplinary action will be taken against those who indulge in it.
15. Students are discouraged to bring money to school.
16. Care must be taken of all school property and no students shall write or draw anything /scratch on/spoil/ deface /damage the desks or chairs or any school furniture, on the walls or in any way harm things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident, shall be reported at once to the school authorities. Any damage done will be made good by the student responsible for it.
17. Students are not allowed to leave the school premises without the permission of the Principal and the gate pass.
18. Any student who is a perpetrator of any sort of abuse: verbal, physical, emotional, psychological, sexual is liable to be expelled from the School. A student who harms another in any way may be suspended or dismissed, depending on the seriousness of the abuse. A student who incites another to do the same can also face the same disciplinary measure. The School may be compelled to inform the legal authorities/police in cases requiring legal intervention according to law.
19. The school uniform is a sacred and prized possession of a student. It symbolizes the ethos and culture of the school, of which the student is an integral part. Any violation of its sanctity calls for firm disciplinary action such as suspension, termination etc. Visit to restaurants, cinema, multiplexes and other places of entertainment in school uniform is a serious breach of discipline inviting action. Students shall present a decent, neat and tidy appearance at all times including hair, nails, clothes and shoes. Use of cosmetics and accessories are not allowed in school.
20. Admittance into the school premises is at the sole discretion of the school authorities who reserve to themselves the right to refuse admission to anyone without assigning any reason whatsoever. At all times, exemplary behaviour is expected from students, parents and staff in the school campus and outside the school campus, and all students are expected to behave in a manner even outside school that befits a student of the school and brings honour, dignity and respect to the school and uphold the traditions of the school.
21. No collection of any kind will be made in school without the previous sanction of the Principal.
22. Bicycles should be kept in the stand provided for and should be securely locked. No student or staff member is allowed to ride bicycle, scooter or car inside the school gate with high speed. Parents are not allowed to bring their vehicles inside the campus during the school hours. Students coming to school riding scooter should use helmet.
23. Students are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. Each article should be marked with their name. Bringing expensive articles will be at personal risk.
24. Discipline in the classroom will be under the control of the class teacher. If a student continues to be noisy or undisciplined she/he may be taken to the Principal for necessary action.
25. Classes XI & XII students must follow exactly the same pattern of discipline as the students of the rest of the school. Failure to maintain that tone of conduct and discipline expected of senior students according to the traditional norms of the school will be sufficient grounds for dismissal at any time.
26. No student detained in the same class will be given any concession in fees.
27. No school business will be transacted during holidays in person or by phone.

GIRLS
Every child should wear a clean uniform daily.
Girls KG I-CI. V the uniform is as follows, Blue skirt, white blouse with blue stripes, short sleeves, the school monogram on the pocket, blue tights, plain red cardigan with long sleeves and white slacks for winter. White Socks & Black shoes with buckle for the girls. White socks and black.
Hair should be neatly plaited and tied. Rubber bands used should be black. Long hair should not be let loose.
Leather, cloth or canvas bag may be used.
White uniform on Fridays for Classes I - V. with white Keds, White Socks & white tights for girls only. No colour band or ribbon except white.
Gold chain, rings & wrist watches, coloured ribbons, red thread hair bands are not allowed in school. Nail polish, Mehendi are not allowed.
BOYS
Every child should wear a clean uniform daily.
Boys, will wear blue half pant with inner wear and white shirt with blue stripes and short sleeves with a school monogram on the pocket, Plain red sweater with long sleeves in winter for Class KG 1 - CL. V. White socks and black. shoes with lace for the boys.
Leather, cloth or canvas bag may be used.
Gold chain, rings & wrist watches are not allowed.
