Admission Overview


1. The classes in school are from Nursery to class V. Information regarding admission to Nursery is published on the notice board / School website by September. Applications for admissions to Class Nursery are accepted from students of all faiths demonstrating the Carmel principles of respect and acceptance of all, while nurturing principles of Christian faith for Christian children in accordance with gospel values. Admissions to other classes will be taken against chance vacancies at the beginning of the school year at the discretion of the Principal.

2. New candidates must be introduced personally to the Principal by the one who will be responsible for his conduct and fees. They will be examined on the syllabus of the class immediately below that to which they seek admission.

3. Parents/Guardians are asked to fill in the admission forms with utmost accuracy. No subsequent changes will be permitted. A self-attested copy of the birth certificate obtained from civil authorities must be deposited in school for admission. Names in the certificate must be exactly same as the one in the form submitted in school at the time of admission. Once the particulars are filled up during the admission, no change will be accepted except with the court order. Children whose parents are separated/ remarried/ having any custody disputes, must intimate the School of the same with a copy of the appropriate Court order – the School will not entertain any parent seeking to act in regard to a student in such circumstances without knowledge and consent of the other parent.

4. A candidate who has attended a recognized school may be admitted only with a Transfer Certificate from the school he has last attended. Catholic students must also produce a Baptism Certificate along with a letter from the parish of residence.

5. Any selection test at the time of admission is an internal evaluation by the school and access to answer scripts for purposes of personal satisfaction and comparison is not permitted.

General Admission Questions

What classes have open admissions?

Admissions are open from Nursery up to Class 9 and Class 11, subject to seat availability. Admissions for Class 10 and Class 12 are generally not allowed unless there is a valid transfer case.What is the age criteria for Kindergarten and Class 1?

  • Nursery: Child must be 3+ years old as of March 31 of the academic year.
  • Kindergarten (KG): Child must be 4+ years old.
  • Class 1: Child must be 6+ years old.

Application Process

How can I apply for admission?

You can apply online through our website by filling out the registration form or visit the school admissions office between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on working days.What documents are required at the time of admission?Please keep the following documents ready:

  • Original Birth Certificate of the child
  • Aadhar card copies of the child and parents
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) from the previous school (for Class 2 and above)
  • Previous year’s report card
  • Passport-size photographs of the student and parents
  • Address proof (utility bill or rental agreement)

Tests and Interaction

Is there an entrance test or interview?
  • For Nursery to Kindergarten: We hold a friendly, informal interaction session with the child and parents.
  • For Class 1 and above: A basic written assessment in English, Mathematics, and Science is conducted to understand the student's current academic level.

Fees and Timings

What are the school timings?
  • Kindergarten: 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Classes 1 to 5: 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM
